The third of the flowering-bank series, this time in yellow: thousands of small golden-yellow and ochre patches cover the slope across the whole surface, descending in waves from the upper right to the bottom edge. Between them run crimson, olive-green and blue-grey furrows that mark the undulations of the ground and set the rhythm of the composition. At the top a dark blue band and a green one close the field, suggesting water or a crest. The paint is thick, applied with the tip of the brush, flower by flower; the effect is of tapestry, and recognition of the place becomes secondary.
