Peisaj la Aluniș

A golden-ochre road enters at the lower left and curves broadly to the right, bordered by a grassy ditch and a thin fence. Along it stand two houses with brick-red roofs and white walls, and at the right rises a mass of trees painted in blue-green, ochre and orange accents in broad knife-laid strokes. In the distance the hills fade into blue under a pale blue sky with white clouds. The foreground is wide and almost empty, giving the composition air. The colour is calmer and brighter than in the 2002 works — a clear summer landscape.
