Four willows with round, silvery white and pale green crowns line up along a bank, painted in short thick strokes that make them look downy; their slender brown trunks are barely visible between them. At the right two ochre haystacks and a wattle fence close the composition, and behind, a stretch of blue-green water and a dark bank cross the canvas horizontally. The sky is a warm salmon-pink surface with vertical strokes descending like fine rain. The foreground is almost bare reddish-brown ground. The pink–silver–green chord is unusually gentle for the 2002 series.
